Meet Doodle For Google 2022 Winner : Sophie Arak-Liu (16-year-old) has been announced the winner of the Doodle for Google 2022, and the company will be showcasing her artwork for the whole of August!
The annual competition allows students from across the US to submit Google Doodle artwork tailored to their theme. This year, the theme was “I take care of myself for myself…”.
The theme was intended to reflect positive ways to renew the mental and physical health of students.
Here’s everything we know about Sophie ARAQUE-LIU, the winner of the Google Doodle for 2022.
WHO IS SOPHIE ARAQUE-LIU?
Based in Florida, Sophie is a junior at Martin County High School.
His artwork from Florida was selected among thousands of entries, and after his nomination, he told TC Palm: “I don’t get everyone’s attention. But I’m so happy and excited.”
He was nominated for the first time after submitting his artwork for three years.
Her final art to receive the award represented the “I Care for Yourself” theme using an image of her embracing her mother.
What is the prize money for Doodle for Google 2022?
Sophie has received a college scholarship of $30,000. In the meantime, her school will receive a $50,000 technical package, which will be used to improve laboratory facilities.
In addition, her artwork will be featured on the Google homepage as well as the New Tab page in Chrome throughout August.
His artwork titled “Not Alone” is believed to encourage viewers to seek help in difficulties and to remind them that they are always surrounded by their loved ones.
Who were the judges?
The judges for the Google Doodle in 2022 included Selena Gomez and the 2021 Teacher of the Year, Juliana Urtubey.
This was followed by five rounds of public voting to select the best artwork from five different age groups.
The panel of judges narrowed down the finalists to one winner, and Sophie took home the coveted prize.
