Cleveland Browns defensive end Miles Garrett was released from the hospital late Monday, according to reports.
Garrett and a passenger with non-life-threatening injuries were taken to medical attention Monday after a vehicle accident.
NFL Network reported Tuesday that Garrett “turned to avoid an animal on a wet road and it was fixed. The car flipped several times. Could have been worse.”
The Browns said Monday the crash happened after 26-year-old Garrett left the practice facility in Berea, Ohio.
Multiple outlets shared post-crash photos of Garrett’s 2021 Porsche, taken off the road and flipped several times before resting.
Details of the accident that happened around 3 pm. ET is under investigation near Wadsworth in Medina County, Ohio.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol confirmed that there was a female passenger in the vehicle and that both occupants were wearing seatbelts.
Garrett was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft and is in his sixth season with the Browns. He has recorded 61.5 sacks and 12 forced fumbles in 71 games (69 starts).
The Browns (2-1) are scheduled for the day off on Tuesday. Cleveland plays the Atlanta Falcons (1-2) on Sunday.
