The win was an important one for Mahomes, who had lost his previous three games against Joe Burrows and the Bengals. Mahomes also enjoyed a stellar 2022 season, throwing for 5,250 yards, 41 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions and posting a 14-3 record.
This Super Bowl will be notable in that it will feature a battle between brothers on opposite sides. Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Eagles center Jason Kelce will each search for their second Super Bowl rings as they battle it out at State Farm Stadium.
Additionally, Andy Reid would look to defeat his former team to capture his second career Super Bowl title.
